The sandpiper is a small yet remarkably resilient bird, known for its extraordinary migratory journeys that span thousands of miles, transversing both Canada and Bermuda, the home locations of the Founders. Despite its modest size, the sandpiper exemplifies endurance, precision, and tireless effort—qualities that resonate deeply with the Founders’ ethos.
